Questions? Good.
Everything parents usually ask before joining NeurUnity. Still curious? Email us at juman@gdmediatech.com.
Is NeurUnity free?
Yes. Joining, creating your family profile, matching with nearby families, and attending community events is free. Some partner-led seminars or workshops may have a small fee, and it is always shown clearly before you RSVP.
Who can join?
Parents and guardians who are 18 or older, caring for ADHD, autistic, or otherwise neurodivergent kids. You’ll confirm you’re an adult when you sign up. Grandparents, foster parents, and other legal guardians are welcome.
How does matching work?
You tell us your ZIP code and how far you’re willing to look (5, 10, 25, or 50 miles). We then suggest nearby families whose kids share similar age ranges, neurotypes, and interests. You browse, and you decide who to connect with — nothing happens automatically.
Do my kids need accounts?
No — and they can’t have them. NeurUnity accounts are for parents and guardians only. Kids are represented by a nickname, an age range, and a fun avatar emoji you pick together. There is no child login, no child profiles, and no direct access for kids.
Is my address shared with other families?
Never. Only your approximate area (from your ZIP code) is used for matching, and you control your search radius. Your street address is never shown to other members. For meetups, you choose what to share and where to meet — public places are always a good first choice.
How do events work?
Parents and guardians can host or join local events: playdates, park meetups, sensory-friendly gatherings, and parent seminars. Browse upcoming events, RSVP, and see who’s coming. Hosts can set attendee limits and mark events public or connections-only.
Can I block or report someone?
Yes, anytime. Every conversation includes report and block controls. Blocking immediately stops all contact. Reports go to human moderators who review and take action — including warnings, suspensions, and removals. Serious safety concerns can also be sent to hello@neurunity.com.
Is NeurUnity medical advice?
No. NeurUnity is community support from fellow parents — shared experience, encouragement, and practical tips. It is not clinical guidance. For diagnosis, treatment, or therapy decisions, always talk to your child’s doctor, therapist, or school team.
What information do you keep about my child?
As little as possible: only what you choose to share — a nickname, an age range, neurotypes, and interests. No photos of kids are required, no birthdays, no real names. You can edit or delete this information at any time, and we never sell data.
How do I delete my data?
Email hello@neurunity.com from your account email and tell us you’d like your account and data deleted. We’ll confirm and complete the deletion. You can also remove individual kids, connections, or messages from your settings before that if you prefer.
