Privacy Policy

Your data, respected

Plain language, no surprises. Last updated October 2026.

1. Data we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and login details.

Profile information: your display name, city, ZIP code, search radius, bio, and avatar emoji.

Family information you provide: your kids’ nicknames (not real names), age ranges, neurotypes, and interests.

Location: approximate area derived from your ZIP code, used only for nearby matching. We never collect or display your exact address.

Messages: conversations between connected parents, stored so you can read your chat history.

Events: events you host or RSVP to, including titles, descriptions, and times.

2. How we use your data

To suggest nearby families with similar interests and experiences, based on your ZIP code and chosen radius.

To power events, connections, messaging, and your dashboard.

To keep the community safe — reviewing reports, preventing abuse, and enforcing our terms.

To respond to your messages and support requests.

3. Children’s data minimization & COPPA awareness

Children never have accounts on NeurUnity. The only information about kids is what you, the parent or guardian, choose to provide: nicknames, age ranges, neurotypes, and interests.

We do not collect children’s real names, birthdays, photos, or precise locations, and we never ask for them.

We design our practices with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in mind: minimize children’s data, keep it parent-controlled, and never use it for advertising.

You can edit or delete your kids’ information at any time.

4. What we never do

We never sell your personal data — to anyone, for any reason.

We never show your exact address or street-level location to other families.

We never use children’s information for advertising or marketing.

5. Data sharing

We share data only as needed to run the service (for example, our hosting and database providers) and when required by law.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Your rights & data deletion

You can view and edit most of your information in your profile and settings.

To delete your account and all associated data, email hello@neurunity.com from your account email. We’ll confirm and complete the deletion.

You may also ask for a copy of the data we hold about you at the same address.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as NeurUnity grows. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.
